In addition to intramural athletics such as soccer and flag football, CCCHS has organized girls and boys basketball programs which compete in the Greater Pittsburgh Independent Basketball League (GPIBL). The boys basketball program has a varsity and junior varsity program. Both teams enjoyed success in the 2008-2009 season. The girls finished with a winning record, and the boys went 20-5 and won both the Academic and Independent division titles of the GPIBL. In addition to competing in the GPIBL, both teams compete against WPIAL and City League teams, as well as competing in local tip-off and holiday tournaments. The basketball program is supported by an organized cheerleading team. All home games are played at the Western PA Boys & Girls Club at 4600 Butler Street in Lawrenceville.
