Ms. Ratley is beginning her sixth year as an educator at Career Connections Charter High School.  At Career Connections she serves as the Career Department Chair, assisting in the implementation of Career classes for students in grades 9-11. Prior to coming to Career Connections, Ms. Ratley was the Director of Programs for the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), Pittsburgh Division.  While at NFTE she achieved trained over 300 teachers throughout PA in youth entrepreneurship while serving as a board member for the Western School of Health and Business. Ms. Ratley graduated from David B. Oliver High School.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Business from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.  Her studies in Education were conducted at Carlow University.  Currently, she is pursuing a Masters of Science in Professional Counseling.
   

Jason Voit

Mr. Voit received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science & Information Systems from Penn State University in 2002, and his Master of Science degree in Instructional Leadership from Robert Morris University in 2006. Prior to teaching at CCCHS, Mr. Voit worked for the Louis F. Leeper Company for two years as a sales representative for various grocery store manufacturers such as Heinz, Lipton, and Del Grosso. Mr. Voit also worked at Citizens Bank for one year. Mr. Voit is currently in his fifth year at CCCHS. He started out as a long-term substitute teacher in 2005, and became a full-time teacher in 2006. Mr. Voit currently teaches Business Technology I, II, and III to students in grades 9-11.

Eugene Kurtz

Mr. Kurtz has a Masters Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and a Masters Degree in Education from Drexel University.  Prior to joining the staff at CCCHS he worked for over 25 years in the commercial nuclear power industry in over 15 facilities throughout the US.  During this time he was responsible for the federal licensing of two $5 billion facilities.  He has been licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as a commercial reactor operator.  Among the firms he has worked for are the law firm of Tourtellotte Ross & Gray (Washington, D.C.), Pacific Nuclear Engineers (Chicago) and Seabrook Nuclear Station (New Hampshire).  He has held the title of President of Kurtz and Associates, Ltd and Superintendent of Nuclear Training where he was responsible for the distance learning and accreditation of nuclear programs.  He taught nuclear physics and engineering at CCAC and Beaver County Community College.  He is also an adjunct instructor for Butler County Community College where he is responsible for teacher preparation courses in the areas of (Praxis Test) secondary math & physics.  He is certified in the areas of Physics, Secondary Math, Technology, and Business Ed/Information Technology.  At CCCHS, he teaches online electives, robotics, and college math courses (algebra & pre-calculus).
