Leaders In-training For Tomorrow (LIFT) is a unique in-school program of Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania (GSWPA), specifically designed to serve girls in grades six through twelve. It has operated since 1990 in collaboration with school districts and is formulated to encourage girls to develop self potential and values, relate to others, and contribute to society.

Offered in a safe, all-girl environment, the LIFT program is delivered during the AMC period over the course of the academic school year at Career Connections Charter High School. The program encompasses in school sessions, with occasional after school sessions that are delivered by a Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania (GSWPA) leadership facilitator in partnership with a staff member of Career Connections Charter School. In addition to these sessions girls are exposed to professional presenters, conduct community and in school take action projects, orchestrate money earning activities, form girl to girl mentoring relationships, tour colleges, and attend conferences, camping retreats, and various outings.

Mrs. Boyd our 11^th grade Mathematics Teacher is the CCCHS coordinator/facilitator for the LIFT program. She encourages the girls to maintain a 2.0 GPA, be punctual to class and exhibit their best behavior during all of their classes. The young ladies will form a private pack with each other and work to that goal for the entire school year.
