This course incorporates a program of studies which focuses on leadership development of high school students and is based on behavioral objectives that are aligned with core leadership competencies and state standards to help students develop an awareness of their leadership potential, acquire essential leadership skills that enable them to act responsibly, and practice leadership through school and community service learning projects. Students enrolled in LOL are invited to participate in the Leadership Academy at Clarion University, Health Science Education Center, which supplements the course team-building and personal development experiences. As an added feature to the partnership, Clarion University offers automatic acceptance to any student who successfully completes the Leadership Academy and is interested in attending their institution. |
