Beth Copeland

Ms. Copeland received her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1987 along with a minor in Mathematics and Drama. She also earned her certification to teach Secondary Mathematics. Her first teaching position was with the Millcreek Area School District in Erie, PA as a 9th and 10th grade math teacher. After holding a variety of other positions, including Director of the West Hills Area Nursery School in Moon Township, Ms. Copeland was hired as the 9th grade math teacher at CCCHS in February 2004. She is currently completing her Master's in Administration through California University of Pennsylvania.

Scott Witon

Mr. Witon received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Mathematics from Penn State University in 2000 and was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. Prior to teaching at CCCHS, Mr. Witon was a substitute teacher at Penn Trafford High School. Mr. Witon has been teaching at CCCHS for nine years and is the mathematics department head. Mr. Witon is the staff sponsor of the Math Club and Children’s Hospital Volunteer Trips. Mr. Witon currently teaches tenth grade mathematics.

Vanessa Boyd

Mrs. Boyd is currently in her third year as the 11th grade Mathematics teacher at Career Connections Charter High School. Mrs. Boyd received her undergraduate Bachelors of Science degree from Medgar Evers College in New York City and is currently completing her Masters in secondary education. Mrs. Boyd is a military wife and mother and because of military travels has worked in the education system for the past nine years in New York City, Virginia and Pennsylvania. Mrs. Boyd has coached girls’ softball and volleyball on the high school level and is currently the mentor/facilitator of the L.I.F.T program at Career Connections Charter High School. Mrs. Boyd believes that a positive student teacher relationship brings success in the classroom environment. |

Jessica Wenner

Ms Wenner received her Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education with an Urban Education concentration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2002. Upon graduation, she worked as a substitute teacher at various school districts meanwhile obtaining her Middle School Mathematics certification. Ms Wenner was hired four years ago at CCCHS and subsequently gained more Secondary Mathematics training. She has a Master’s in Education degree in Elementary and Middle School Mathematics from IUP in 2008. With continued professional growth through Slippery Rock University, she will earn her Principal Certification in 2010. Ms. Wenner currently teaches our Math Lab course for grades 9-11. She also works as our Federal Programs Coordinator (Title 1) and Testing/Data Management Liaison. |
