Pre-Apprenticeship Readiness

Western PA is expecting a shortage of skilled workers in many areas. With the retirement of baby boomers and multi-billion dollar construction projects underway, there will be a continuing need for skilled workers in the construction trades and craft unions. Most of the high-paying jobs require a completion of an apprenticeship program.

Earning a spot in an apprenticeship program is as good a deal as winning a college scholarship and requires the same amount of smarts. Apprentices get paid ($15-$20 per hour average) to learn their skills and earn high incomes once they graduate from the apprenticeship programs.

Let CCCHS help you prepare for an apprenticeship program! See if you are interested in any of the 23 Building Trades. Those willing to adhere to the PAR requirements which is consistent with qualifications for the apprenticeship programs might want to connect with others at CCCHS who share your interests and commitment.
