Mrs. McHenry received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Pittsburgh, Oakland in 2000. In 2001 she graduated from the University’s School of Education earning a Master’s Degree in the Art of Teaching Foreign Language. Prior to being hired by CCCHS, Mrs. McHenry worked for Quaker Valley School District teaching elementary students with special needs. Upon receiving her PA state certification, she taught Spanish for grades 6-12 from 2000-2007 at various schools in Pittsburgh School District. Mrs. McHenry also worked as a reading and math skills teacher, in addition to teaching Spanish, at Huntington Learning Center in the North Hills from 2007-2009. Her love for travel has taken her to Spain, Mexico, Jamaica, Africa, Canada and numerous states around the country.
