CCCHS and other local teams formed the Greater Pittsburgh Independent Basketball League (GPIBL) which includes boys’ and girls’ programs. The boys’ league features nine teams and the girls’ league has seven teams that compete during the regular season for seeding in the playoff system.

The CCCHS basketball program was started in 2000 during the school's second year of operation. It has gone from one co-ed team to a full program complete with a girls team and boys varsity and junior varsity program. CCCHS also has a cheerleading team who cheer on the Coyotes during all home games.

Home games are played at the Boys & Girls Club in Lawrenceville, 4600 Butler Street, Lawrenceville. Directions to the gym: From Route 28, take the 40th Street Bridge Exit. Go over 40th Street Bridge and turn left at the first light. Follow Butler Street for approximately a half mile and the Boys & Girls Club is on the right.
