Health and Wellness

CCCHS believes that all students should be educated on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Through four years of health and physical education instruction, along with initiatives developed by the school nurse, CCCHS students are given exposure to healthy lifestyle decisions that will hopefully carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Students Teaching Students

Nurse Allen took a few CCCHS students to Arsenal Elementary School to work with younger children. Here, Shatwanda is working with 1st grade students and teaching them what she knows about nutrition.

The Experts Talk

Dr. Sauereisen gave a presentation to 12th grade students on how to handle some basic medical emergencies when you’re on your own.

The Secret Cheese

The secret cheese was a program designed to educate students about the nutritional values of cheese. Here, Mr. DeHart is quizzing students about a secret cheese fact.

Go for the Greens

Go for the Greens was a health and wellness initiative which had a goal of educating students on the nutritional value of vegetables. Staff members participated by providing students with delicious vegetable items for lunch.

Blood Drive

In the first blood drive of the year, CCCHS managed to save 45 lives with the amount of blood that CCCHS students and staff members donated. Below is Nurse Allen receiving an award for our school's participation in the drive.

Thanks to the help of Mrs. Wood's Art program, students competed in a contest by showcasing their artistic skills with apples being the theme of a poster contest.
